AMBA Membership  

Since 1973, the American Mold Builders Association has been the U.S. mold industry's leading trade organization. As an AMBA member, you help to build a stronger future for your company and the industry. Benefits of membership include annual meetings, publications, business development, information services, government relations, and professional programs. The value of a trade association provides valuable credibility, networking and education that help foster success. AMBA promotes excellence among mold builders and serves as a voice for the industry. AMBA's nearly 300 member companies span 31 states and 12 chapter affiliations.

Qualifications for AMBA Membership:

* Membership in the Association is open to any business enterprise that manufacturers or repairs molds or die cast dies at a facility located within the United States, but does not include those whose primary business is texturing, engraving, polishing, welding, mold base manufacturing, or who otherwise primarily sell to Members. A "business enterprise" includes any of the following: sole proprietorship, partnership (general or limited), limited liability company, corporation or independently operated division.

* The business enterprise shall generate at least 50% of its mold and die cast die manufacturing revenues from activities conducted in a U.S. facility or facilities.

* Qualifications for membership are subject to the review and approval by the national Board of Directors. The Board of Directors shall approve membership for all applicants.

• Plant Tour Workshops - During these workshops, participants have the rare opportunity to tour AMBA member mold manufacturing facilities, engage in structured cross-talk with other senior machining professionals on various aspects of running a profitable moldmaking company and discuss continuous improvement opportunities and best practices observed during the tour. • Chapter Affiliation - With AMBA Chapters in 12 states and members throughout the U.S., the AMBA is everywhere you are. Chapters offer a variety of meeting and networking opportunities, depending on each Chapter.

Programs and Services
• Educational Scholarships - Up to ten (10) $1,000 educational scholarships are granted to current full-time employees or employee dependents/spouses of AMBA member companies. Since 1991, AMBA has awarded over $216,000 in educational scholarships.
 
• Journeyman Certificates - Available for moldmakers, mold designers and mold precision machinists completing a formal training program through AMBA member companies.
 
• Comprehensive Insurance Program - AMBA offers member companies workers' compensation, property/liability, group benefits & other insurance products through Acrisure Insurance Group.
 
• Mold Builder of the Year Award - Prestigious honor awarded annually to recognize outstanding contributions made by an AMBA member.
