AMBA Launches Premier Virtual Plant Tour Workshop

Dramco Tool Co. – Tooling a ‘Lean’ Path to Machine Set-up Efficiencies

AMBA has long believed in the power of touring another mold manufacturing facility to learn, improve and grow. In this tradition, AMBA is excited to launch its first virtual plant tour workshop at Dramco Tool Co., allowing attendees to tour a member facility, share best practices, problem-solve with peers and improve operations – all without leaving the office!

From its facility in Grand Island, NE, Dramco Tool team members will share the company’s “strategic path to lean,” the implementation of machine set-up efficiencies and the company’s pursuit of a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Attendees will discover how Dramco Tool

• strategically set up 11,000 sq. ft. of new manufacturing space for greater  workflow capacity
• significantly decreased machine set-up and job changeover times;
• devised tool management strategies to cut waste and increase flexibility; and
• leveraged its lean efforts as a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

After the company’s presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to join small group breakout rooms, where they will discuss challenges and solutions surrounding shop floor efficiencies and/or cell phone policies with mold building peers.
