Scheduling

Post by Mullholand » Wed Dec 12, 2018 3:17 pm

Has anyone ever looked into or had any experience with Velocity Scheduling? Its focus is around constraints and lowering WIP opposed to efficiencies to improve on throughput. We are investigating it but I hoped someone might have some first hand experience they could share.

Mike - it's so funny that you ask that. I was going to ask the group last week that question when I brought up the capacity (but thought I'd already monopolized the time). I've looked at the videos and materials you can get, but have not leaped in for the consultation. I'll be interested to see what other feedback you get. I think we were able to check the box on all of the issues they brought up. Ha!

We covered all the issues as well. In theory it makes good sense but I'm really hoping someone comes forward with real life experience.
