Emerging Leaders Rising Star Award

The AMBA Emerging Leaders Rising Star of the Year Award is intended to recognize outstanding growth, leadership and / or contributions by an emerging professional in the AMBA community.

The Emerging Leaders Rising Star Award will be announced during the AMBA Conference, is promoted in national industry publications (including AMBA's The American Mold Builder magazine) and posted on the AMBA website.

The award recipient's company will receive a $500 contribution to be used towards the winner's professional development.

2024 Emerging Leaders Rising Star Award: Nick VanderZwaag, Legacy Precision Molds

Nick VanderZwaag is the first winner of the Emerging Leaders Rising Star Award and was recognized both for his outstanding professional growth and his leadership displayed in the workplace.

In addition to the execution of company-wide projects, such as spearheading the initial certification of the company’s first Quality Management System, ISO 9001, he has continually demonstrated key characteristics that exemplify emerging leadership in U.S. mold manufacturing. Examples include the integrity displayed in his work, a willingness to collaborate and connect with others, continued, proactive follow-through on projects, a pursuance of outside professional development and a continual desire and willingness to increase responsibility.
