Omar Nashashibi of The Franklin Partnership, AMBA's lobbying firm in Washington, D.C., will follow Nix with an update on the new Washington controlled by Democrats and what it means for the industry. He will address a variety of topics, including the:

• Status of the tariffs on molds and dies 
• Increasing pressure on President Biden to lift tariffs (particularly on inputs used to produce medical devices and supplies)
• Latest on COVID-19 stimulus legislation
• Likelihood of tax increases
• Expected support from President Biden on workforce training

AMBA faces a critical window lobbying to protect the industry in the early months of the new administration and Nashashibi will review the approach and execution of AMBA's strategy. 

This event will also include the AMBA's 2021 Annual Assembly, which will provide details such as a financial overview, membership status and corporate governance. This update is for AMBA membership only.
